"We, They and I”
This is a reflection
story of my life in searching for identity of an established life. I am a person who
loves and enjoys art, especially the art of drawing. The passion that
becomes hobby, leads me to be able to make
t-shirt business with my own brand ‘ALOR CREATIVE 100%’. I created and pioneered this
business while studying at campus in Yogyakarta, but the business stopped when I
returned to my hometown.
I found many factors that
hinders my passion
to develop this business. Starting from the raw materials availability and
the biggest obstacle to develop this business in NTT due to brokers (person who buys t-shirts for consumers) prints all in Java and Bali with cheaper and
faster manufacture and delivery.
The circumstances that
hamper the creativity of screen printing business made me reflect longer, it
hampers not only my
future but also my surrounding where I live. The situation of the environment like
a proverb saying "Rats
dying in rice
barns", which means we have abundant natural sources, but we do not know how to make them fulfill
our needs.
This deep reflection
encourages me to choose to be a "modern farmer" as my first step to keep my life and the rest is I want to make people in my village
have a better
life through
"self-help business" by making bamboo handicraft for
indoor house ornaments and virgin coconut oil so they
will have a higher
selling price.
My reflection
page has an end-hope that we can share many things in our life as sharing can complete our shortcomings.
Finally, thank you so
much for my ‘family’ in Stube-HEMAT which remains accompany and guide me faithfully in my efforts.
Hopefully, there will
be evidence of love
and
effors that I can share
in the future - Amien.
